Thus the masses cried out and the god awakened Seggi Firstly, apologies for lack of updates. Again, I've had my time taken away from me, mainly for school. When I say school, I mean big bad college, with brain-hurting things to cram into your head, with deadlines to meet, and projects to consume your time. Yes, this is where a big part of my time is going. Good news is I'm down at the end, close to graduation; bad news is that isn't until March next year. 'Course, I don't know what the future holds for me, we'll just have to see. The page I put up today isn't finished, as you can see. This has actually been sitting in my sketchbook for many months. Problem is I'm having trouble with the little fight scene down below where Faye throws some punches and stuff at NiGHTS while the poor guy tries to dodge them and calm her down. Sure, it's been put off, but as I stated my priorities go towards finishing school, which leaves me drain as far as artwork. Please understand this. But, a valid excuse or not, I know leaving you guys hanging still isn't right for a comic artist to do. One of you has suggested a mailing list so everyone can be informed when I update the comic. This should save you a trip back and forth to the webcomic constantly checking for updates, but it also gives you an opportunity to chew me out day in and day out about updates. I went through Yahoo! Groups and went ahead and sent an invite to those of you who commented and left an e-mail. New Additions! Seggi Along with a new page, I've made some updates! In the Profiles section I've added a profile about Cynthia and also a new addition to the Fanart gallery! Crystal Dreams Summer Contest! Seggi Firstly, I've decided to put the comic on a hiatus schedule. It will update whenever. This doesn't mean one comic per month or something like that, just when I get the comic done instead of waiting for a certain day to put it up, it'll go up as soon as it's hot out of Photoshop. Onto other things, I've decided to start a Crystal Dreams Contest. Details and references can be found on the MB under the "Calendar" button in the toolbar (Link). Rules are to draw a picture that depicts the Crystal Dreams cast doing something during the summer. It can be them at the beach, sitting around eating watermelon, splashing around in the pool, or anything else that relates to summer. The best one will get a picture of their character drawn and CGed by me, the creator of Crystal Dreams and a one page appearance in the comic! So put your art skills to work and get drawing!

Technical Difficulties Seggi Yes, everytime I think I'll just skip a Friday, NiGHTS comes and "pleasantly" reminds me just how important getting the comic up on time is. While trying to draw the next page, I always come up with some difficulties. Some being that it just doesn't look right to me and then I start over and then I just lose the will to draw... then there's the fact that procrastinating comes into play. So, frankly, there won't be one tomorrow, but I'll get it up next week. My apologies to those wanting to know exactly what happens next.

Crystal Dreams Resumes! Seggi This took a little longer than I expected. I ended up coloring this page myself and didn't add the shading for lack of time. Please forgive me, I know I said I'd have it up by Friday but things came up. Anyways, I introduce two new characters with this page, Cynthia and Faye. What their role in the story is, you'll soon find out when the next page comes, along with who is the mystery person that just walked in. Next page may not be up by next Friday, but I'll try as hard as I can to get it up soon.

Crystal Dreams Forum Seggi New update! I've added a forum for the comic. I'm sure it's a bit much, considering the tagboard and dreambook, but I think it might be a fun addition. I'm still working on the colors, icons and other things while also working hard to get the 2nd to next comic page ready for putting up. I still have final projects, but after next Monday I'll be a free Seggi again! Yay! Forewarning, though, Wednesday through Friday of next week I will be out of town because I'm going down to LA for E3! W00t! When I return, I'll post a scoop about what I saw down there. Links Page Seggi I've now got a full links page linking to all NiGHTS websites I could think of. If you have a NiGHTS webpage and would like me to link to you as well, send me an e-mail and I'll post it right away. As for when the next comic page will be up, that's still in question. Someone HAS come to me and offered to finish the coloring for me which I have agreed to let them do. Although they are busy as well so to be fair I'm letting them finish the coloring when they can manage it. This does, however, give me a chance to work on the next page aside from other projects I have to do, which means I can get the next one ready sooner. Thank you for your patience.

As Kim Possible would say... Seggi Here's the sitch. Finals are coming up quickly for me so I need time to study. Of course, it's not just that, I also have final projects that I need to put time into to complete. After next week I should be ok as far as more time. As for the next comic, it's been inked and is still in the coloring process. Once my time frees up, I'll be able to finish it and put it up, then start on the next. I've also added a "News" section to put the past updates and get them off the main page. Now the page should be able to load faster for most of you. Don't worry, it's just a break. The comic will resume soon.

Dreams NEED to be in color, so I refuse the monochromatic. Finally an update; Page 18 Seggi You're probably wondering why we went a month without an update. For one thing, the site went down and all login information was lost. I'm hosted by someone else, so I had to wait to get my login information reset before I could do anything with the site. Another reason, I hit a roadblock. As you can plainly see, doing landscape is not my strong point. It's something I still need to work on. I imagined Spring Valley City would have a lot of different colors so... I tried it. Don't think it worked. Lastly, I'm a very busy person and doing the color for these is wearing me out. Most comics don't worry about coloring, but I'd rather have these in nice color instead of black and white. Again, if you want to help, I do appreciate it. You'll even get to see the pages ahead of time, isn't that a treat? Anyways, here's the next installment, although late from Friday. Next page coming soon, perhaps this coming Friday.

Delayed Til Sunday Seggi I still have some coloring to finish on page 18 and I'd rather finish it than throw it up incomplete. It'll be delayed til Sunday because in a couple hours I'm leaving for the mountains to work at a camp until tomorrow. Once I get off work from there, I'll be immediately heading to my retail job and will be there til 8:30pm. I'm sure when I get home I'll be too tired to do anything, so give me til Sunday and you'll have page 18 in beautiful color (atleast, I'll try my best).

Feedback Seggi Next page is updated. Again, life catches up to a person. Yet, not only that, I'm also having some doubts regarding the comic. I got a good response when it first started, but I find I'm getting no feedback at all at this point. Please let me know what you think of the comic, or atleast let me know if you're reading it. I have many ideas for this comic and feedback helps me get motivated to produce these pages for you to read. Let me know if you think I'm going in the right direction here. I'm very open to discussion. This is why I have a tag board in place, so I can hear shout outs from all of you. Please use it and drop a line now and then. Back Up and Running Seggi As promised, the long awaited 16th page has been colored and updated. Almost had to wait til 5pm Pacific today to update because I was tired and the computer with the scanner was taken up, but I decided to stay up past 1am because, well, you guys have waited long enough, what's a couple hours lost sleep? Please enjoy! I thought I'd use my prisma markers for this one, and although I don't think it turned out too bad, I think I'll stick to the regular colored pencils, hehe. Til next Friday!

Happy New Year! Seggi Hope everyone had a safe Christmas and New Year. Now that Christmas is over, I've gotten a bit more free time, which means that Crystal Dreams can continue again. How does a nice, full color comic page updated this Friday sound? I bet you're really overjoyed with that news, well don't forget to check back this Friday for it! As a side note, if anyone is willing to help out with the coloring I'd greatly appreciate it. I may have some free time now to draw the comic, but coloring is still a stretch for me, not to mention I'm sure someone else can do a better coloring job than I have been. Page 10 Up Seggi Sorry for the long wait. When Friday rolled around I still had too much to do, so I moved it back to the regular schedule day, Tuesday. This is a bit late, mainly because I'm on Verizon DSL and around midnight last night it decided to go out completely in my area... which was fun because I couldn't upload the comic all day. Even now it's still out so I'm on dial-up just so I can get this comic up. If my net connection comes back on by tomorrow I'll have page 11 up to keep the schedule consistant. If not, no page 11 until it does come back on

Tagboard fixed and Page 9 delay Seggi Fixed the tag-board. Turns out their boards went down due to problems on the server their boards are hosted on. I had to re-register again... which annoys me because all the messages were lost and I felt I had the perfect color scheme and it went and messed up... now I can't remember what I had it as o_- As for other things, page 9 will be up soon, just later tonight as I have things to get done today which will take up my time. So it'll get done, just not til later Pacific timing

Page 8 is up along with some new stuff Seggi Page 8 is up and I've set a schedule for it. Once a week for now until I get more time freed up for it. I did some different things with this page. Firstly, I dropped color pencilling because my scanner doesn't make it come out right and I did much more shading on this than the other pages and actually added highlights this time. I think I'll do this for the pages following because it worked out quite well. Also, in case anyone wants to question this, yes, Wizeman has his hands around his "neck". The way I figure it, nightmarens must have some kind of force that keeps their heads on their bodies or else they'd roll off. So Wizeman isn't neccesarily strangling a neck, more like he's grasping that force and compressing it, which causes pain, almost like a neck. That make sense? That's just the way I see it. The profiles and others will be put up sometime this week or next week, keep checking back!

Crystal Dreams on the Web Seggi Crystal Dreams finally has its own webpage! Isn't that great? Still need to get some stuff fixed on it, but it's a start. I made the scheme pink/purple, sky blue/dark blue, and white because they seem to go well together to my eye. Also made the scrollbar purple, whee There's no affiliates (yet) so that's open. Made the background with pics from the previous six pages of the comic. I'm planning on changing the next, previous, and first buttons to something better when I get the chance. On the side I put a button for archive so you can check back to previous comics. Gallery will be for any of my own artwork I do of the characters in the comic. Profiles will be just like it says, profiles of each character in the comic. Fanart button for any fanart anyone does of the comic and it's characters. Feedback so you can send me e-mail and let me know how you think the comic is going and what you like to see. Then links to other places like NiGHTS pages, forums and other pages like webcomics I read and pages I visit. There's still much to grow here, but like I said, it's a start. Feel free to give me feedback on how the site could improve. Thanks for stopping by ^^
